Elemental for iOS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 6, 2026
Last updated: September 6, 2026

In short: Elemental is designed to work locally. The app does not require an account, does not include advertising or analytics, and does not send your supplement, intake, wellbeing, label, or HealthKit data to Brady or to an Elemental server.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the Elemental iOS app handles information. Elemental is developed by Brady ("we," "us," or "our" in this policy).

2. Information handled by Elemental

Depending on the features you choose to use, Elemental may handle the following information on your device:

You can use Elemental without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, postal address, phone number, or payment information in the app.

3. On-device processing and storage

Elemental processes and stores app data on your device. Product records, recognized label text, intake history, wellbeing entries, HealthKit observations imported into the app, and generated insights are kept in local app storage and the app's shared container for its widget.

Optical character recognition and label structuring run on-device using Apple system technologies. A label image is used in memory for recognition; Elemental does not upload it or keep a separate copy of the image after the capture workflow. Recognized text and the product information you confirm may be retained locally as part of the product record and its processing history.

Elemental does not operate a cloud account, sync, backup, or processing service. Your device or operating-system backup settings may independently include app data; those services are controlled by you and their providers, not by Elemental.

4. HealthKit

HealthKit access is optional and requires your explicit permission. Elemental reads only the HealthKit data types listed above and does not write data to HealthKit. The information is used on your device to show trends and support insights about changes in outcomes around changes in your recorded intake.

We do not receive, sell, share, or use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining. You can review or revoke Elemental's Health access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. Revoking access stops future HealthKit reads but does not automatically remove observations already stored in Elemental's local database.

5. Insights

Elemental may compare your recorded intake with changes in HealthKit observations or wellbeing entries over time. This analysis runs locally. An insight describes an observed temporal association and does not prove that an intake caused a change. Elemental is not a medical device, and its insights are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment guidance.

6. Collection, sharing, and tracking

Brady does not receive or collect the app data described in this policy. Elemental contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, cross-app tracking technology, or developer-operated network endpoint. We do not sell or share your app data with data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties.

The public webpage containing this policy is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. When you visit the webpage, Cloudflare may process standard network request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the page. This hosting activity is separate from the Elemental app, which does not connect to this policy site during normal use.

7. Retention and deletion

Local app data is retained on your device until it is replaced through normal app use, you delete the applicable record or product where that control is available, or you delete the app. Deleting a product permanently deletes its ingredients, intake records, and reminder schedule from Elemental. Individual intake records can also be deleted in the app.

Deleting Elemental removes its local app container according to iOS behavior. Information that remains in Apple Health or in a device backup is controlled separately by Apple and your device settings. Because we do not operate user accounts or receive your app data, we cannot view, export, or remotely delete data stored only on your device.

8. Your choices and permissions

9. Security

Elemental relies on iOS protections for its local app container and HealthKit authorization. No method of storage is completely secure, so you should protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS up to date.

10. Children's Privacy

Elemental is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any app user because the app does not transmit personal information to us.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Elemental's features or privacy practices change. The revised policy will show a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store information when appropriate.
